Mwongera has accumulated over 24 years’ working experience in Financial
Management, Control, Strategic planning and implementation, Corporate Reporting
and Governance, Design and implementation of Internal Control Systems and
Conduct of Statutory Audit and Assurance.
He has acquired valuable skills while serving in critical roles in
various sectors; public sector, manufacturing firms, SACCO, non-governmental
organizations, Higher education and in Audit and assurance.
CPA Mwongera is the Partner in
Charge of Audit and Assurance at GNM Accountants LLP (formerly Gichuru M and Company), a business advisory and assurance
Firm. He has previously served as Accountant at C&P Industries, Accountant
in charge at the Directorate of Occupational Health and Safety Services,
Manager at Nyati SACCO ltd, Finance and administration Manager at German
Foundation for World Population (DSW) and Financial Controller at Kenya
Methodist University.
CPA Mwongera Holds Bachelor of
Commerce, Finance Option, MBA in Finance and is currently pursuing a PhD in
Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He is a
CPA (K) and a holder of practicing certificate No. P/2697 and holds CISA
professional qualifications.
